Zelensky met with Zaluzhny and Prytula
President Volodymyr Zelensky held a number of meetings with politicians and public figures, whom analysts consider his potential competitors in the upcoming elections. Among them are former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, activist Serhii Sternenko, founder of the 'Povertys zhyvym' foundation Serhii Prytula, and former Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.
According to political scientist Ruslan Bezyayev, who discussed these events on the 'Dikyi Live' program, such meetings may be an attempt to form an internal consensus before making difficult decisions.
'By the time negotiations reach the final stage, there should be an internal consensus,' Bezyayev noted.
Scandals and Energy Crisis
In addition to political meetings, the program also discussed the scandalous statement of businessman Serhii Vahonian about bribes to former SBU head Ivan Bakhanov, the criminal case of Yulia Tymoshenko, and the energy crisis. Regarding the latter, the political scientist stated:
'In Ukraine, on the brink of blackout.'
Against this background, the appointment of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal as Minister of Energy raises questions about the effectiveness of industry management. Meanwhile, the initiative of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration to transfer 50 million hryvnias to Serhii Prytula's fund has sparked a public discussion about the appropriateness of such transfers of state funds.
