The Basketball Federation of Ukraine announced the results of the draw for the first stage of the Ukrainian Basketball Cup among men's teams for the 2025/26 season. Three hosts of the first stage of the competition have been determined: matches will take place in Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kyiv.
A total of 12 teams will participate in the competition, including 10 teams from the Super League, as well as 'DiDiBao' from the Higher League and 'Chayka-VMU' from the First League. In the first stage of the competition, teams from various cities of Ukraine will play, including Dnipro, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Prykarpattia, Cherkasy, Niko-Basket, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, DiDiBao, Kryvyi Rih, and Kharkiv Falcons.
Pre-qualification for the World Championship 2027. Men
In the final round of pre-qualification, the Ukrainian national basketball team defeated the Slovak team with a score of 98:86. Overall, in the pre-qualification, Ukrainian athletes won twice.
Additionally, in the second round of pre-qualification, the Ukrainian team defeated the Slovak team with a score of 80:71. Also, in the first round, the Ukrainian national team lost to Switzerland with a score of 64:66.
Competitions in Ukrainian basketball at various levels are gaining momentum, and fans are already looking forward to new sporting achievements and exciting matches.
