An accountant from Kryvyi Rih, Olena Hozh, not only keeps records but also engages in an extraordinary hobby – growing hot peppers. For two years now, she has been growing over 30 varieties of peppers in her greenhouse. Among them are both the hottest varieties and less spicy ones. During this time, Olena has even learned recipes for sauces and jams made from her spicy fruits.
The beginning of this passion lies in her son's joke about peppers from the Guinness Book of Records. Starting with a few chili pepper seeds, Olena quickly expanded her collection to 33 varieties of hot peppers. The woman strives to have her own harvest of hot peppers all year round to delight herself and her loved ones with fresh products.
The harvested crop is used for various culinary experiments – drying, pickling, creating sauces. Olena's future plans include expanding her collection of hot peppers and entering the Asian market with her unique products.
