New Explosive Attack in Moscow: Car Detonation on General Sarvarov Street

Car Explosion in Moscow


On the night of December 24, an explosion occurred in the southern part of Moscow on Yaseneva Street - in the Orekhovo-Borisovo area. People heard two loud explosions, followed by smoke and a fire.


According to preliminary reports, the explosion happened on the same street where, a few days earlier, a car exploded, resulting in the death of Russian Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov. Police, rescuers, and bomb disposal experts arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.


The presence of several law enforcement vehicles has been confirmed. Currently, there is no official information on the causes of the explosion, the victims, or any connection with the previous incident. The circumstances of the event are being established.


It is worth noting that on December 22, a car exploded on the same street in Moscow, to which a homemade explosive device was attached.


During the car explosion in Moscow, the head of the operational training department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, was killed.

Fanil Sarvarov was born on March 11, 1969, in the town of Gremyachinsk, Perm Region. According to information from open sources, he graduated from Kazan Higher Tank Command School in 1990.



As a result of the car explosion in Moscow, the head of the operational training department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, was killed. The incident occurred on the same street where another explosion took place a few days ago. An investigation is currently underway, likely related to the previous incident.
