Ukrainian Military Operation
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed a successful strike on strategic Russian infrastructure. During the night of June 14, 2026, and throughout the previous day, a coordinated operation was carried out targeting multiple sites both inside Russia and within Ukraine. The most notable hit was against the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in the Krasnodar region, a key facility for Russian energy exports.
Attack Details
The assault on the oil terminal took place on June 13, 2026, near the settlement of Volna. The strike severely damaged three RVS-40000 storage tanks, each with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters. It also disabled the main fuel pipeline and damaged loading stands at piers No. 5 and No. 6. With an annual throughput capacity of up to 20 million tons of oil, the terminal’s destruction marks a significant blow to Russian logistics.
Additional targets in the operation included:
- A command observation post in the Bryansk region, near Nekislitsy;
- Drone control centers in Holova Prystan (Kherson region) and Kleban-Byk (Donetsk region);
- A workshop producing drone munitions in Sokolohirsk (Luhansk region);
- A field artillery depot in Pryazovske (Donetsk region);
- A material and technical supply warehouse near Kleban-Byk.
Strikes were also conducted against concentrations of Russian troops in multiple regions, including:
- Malokostiantynivka (Luhansk region);
- Zherebianky (Zaporizhzhia region);
- Yablunivka, Novoekonomichne, and Bahatyr (Donetsk region);
- Vovchansk (Kharkiv region);
- Sichneve (Dnipropetrovsk region);
- Kursk and Bryansk regions of Russia, including the area near Troebornoye.
“Ukraine’s defense forces have a clear strategy and will continue to systematically, methodically, and steadily degrade the military, logistical, and economic capabilities of the Russian aggressor.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
This operation is a key part of Ukraine’s broader strategy to counter Russian aggression. By hitting critical infrastructure, Ukraine aims to disrupt Russian supply lines and military operations, demonstrating its capability to strike high-value targets deep behind enemy lines. Such actions could also bolster international support by showcasing Ukraine’s effectiveness in defending itself. Observers will be watching closely for how these strikes shift the conflict’s dynamics in the coming weeks.
The recent strike on the oil terminal in Krasnodar is part of a broader strategy by Ukrainian forces to disrupt Russian energy exports and military logistics. This follows a significant operation targeting Russian refineries and infrastructure, highlighting the ongoing escalation in military actions and the strategic importance of these facilities in the conflict.
