The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the damage to two major enterprises on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a fuel and lubricants warehouse in temporarily occupied Berdiansk. All attacks were carried out on the night of October 19.
The General Staff emphasized that these operations are part of a series of measures aimed at undermining Russia's military-industrial base and depriving it of the ability to continue its 'criminal aggression'.
Attacks on Novokuybyshevsky refinery and Orenburg gas processing plant
Explosions and a fire were recorded at the Novokuybyshevsky refinery (Samara region). The primary oil processing units (ELOU AVT) were damaged. This refinery produces over 20 types of products, and its annual primary processing volume is 4.9 million tons. The plant supplies the needs of the Russian army. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
Explosions and a large-scale fire were recorded at the Orenburg gas processing plant, one of the largest gas processing complexes in the Russian Federation. One of the gas processing and purification units was damaged. The plant can process up to 45 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 6.2 million tons of gas condensate/oil per year.
Reports of damage to facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation and in occupied Berdiansk indicate the activation of military actions and strategic attacks in the conflict zone. Attacks on industrial facilities that are crucial to the Russian military-industrial complex may have serious consequences for the country's economy and military power.
