According to Главком: With 7,410 points earned, Angelika Liashko has climbed to the top spot among Ukrainian basketball players in the global 3x3 rankings. On the international stage, Ukraine’s women’s 3x3 team secured 6th place at the World Championship, highlighting the rising caliber of Ukrainian athletes in this discipline. Liashko, aged 25, currently holds 46th place worldwide in 3x3 with 64,555 points.
Unfortunately, Daria Dubniuk, who started 2026 as Ukraine’s No. 1, is not currently playing for the national team due to injury recovery. She has dropped to 49th globally with 63,629 points. Other Ukrainian women’s players also occupy lower positions:

Ukraine’s Men’s Team in World Cup Qualifiers
Ukraine’s men’s basketball team failed to overcome obstacles in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, losing to Spain in the fourth round with a score of 78:64. In this match, the Ukrainian squad could not capitalize on their opportunities despite players’ efforts. In the third qualifying round, Spain defeated Ukraine decisively, 86:66. However, in the second round, Ukrainian basketball players secured a win over Denmark, 88:71.
Ukraine’s first qualifying match was against Georgia, which they won 92:79. Oleksandr Kovliar emerged as a key player, scoring 31 points in 37 minutes of play.
