Power and Features of the New MacBook Pro and iMac

The MacBook Pro’s M6 chip features a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, delivering up to 30% faster graphics performance and a 25% boost in AI processing compared to its M5 predecessor. Remarkably, the M6 chip processes large language model (LLM) requests up to 13 times faster than the original M1 MacBook Pro, and its overall performance surpasses the M5 by 30%. The laptop starts with 16GB of unified memory, expandable to 32GB, with memory bandwidth reaching 170GB/s.

Connectivity options on the MacBook Pro are comprehensive and include:

  • HDMI port
  • MagSafe 3 charging
  • Three Thunderbolt 4 ports
