The Russian army has significantly lagged behind the summer offensive plans – Zelensky
According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian occupiers have seriously lagged behind their offensive plans that were supposed to be carried out this summer. He announced this in his post on Telegram, emphasizing that a meeting was held with military leaders and the Minister of Defense.
“The Russian army has significantly fallen short of the expectations of its command this summer. Our units will continue to destroy the occupiers and do everything to transfer the war onto Russian territory. We are preparing new long-range strikes,” Zelensky noted.
The President mentioned that he discussed the situation on key defensive fronts with the Commander-in-Chief and the Chief of the General Staff, noting that Ukrainian forces are steadfastly holding their ground and preventing Russian intentions for offensive actions.
Ukraine prepares to respond to Russian strikes
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine will respond 'harshly' to every strike against Ukrainians, as well as expand its own weapons production to ensure defense. It is planned to increase the domestic manufacturing base to 40%.
To ensure Ukraine's defense capability, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he is ready to respond harshly to any strikes from Russian occupiers. Furthermore, a significant expansion of domestic weapons production is planned to strengthen the country's defense, with the aim of ensuring security and upholding territorial integrity.
