Zelensky: Ukraine needs help to finance the Armed Forces
According to glavcom.ua: President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine will not be able to independently fund its Armed Forces, which number 800,000 after the war. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists, as reported by 'Glavkom'.
Zelensky noted that negotiations are currently underway with partners regarding partial funding for the Ukrainian army.
«The Armed Forces are the foundation of our security. We need time to restore the economy, and only after that will we be able to fund our army on our own. Therefore, we need help from our partners», Zelensky explained.
The president also emphasized that the number of 800,000 military personnel refers only to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and not all Defense Forces.
Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine currently needs help from its partners to provide the necessary funding for the Armed Forces until the country is ready to do this independently after the economy is restored.
