SABER Combat Module Successfully Integrated with GEREON Platform by ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS; M2 and MK 19 Systems to Launch by Year-End

Successful Integration of the SABER Combat Module

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: German firm ARX Robotics and Ukrainian defense company ROBONEERS have completed initial integration tests of the SABER combat module on the GEREON ground robotic platform. This milestone marks a significant advancement in military technology aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Ukraine's Armed Forces.

By the end of this year, the SABER module is set to be equipped with:

• the heavy-caliber M2 machine gun
• the automatic MK 19 grenade launcher

Deliveries of these systems will be aligned with the operational needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The modular design of the platform allows for flexible adaptation to various combat roles and supports different weapon configurations on a single robotic chassis.

Strategic Partnership Unlocks New Defense Opportunities

The strategic collaboration between ARX Robotics and ROBONEERS was formalized on October 4 in Kyiv, in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. As part of this cooperation, the two companies agreed to establish a joint venture, ARX Industries, tasked with producing the Rys Pro ground robotic systems in both Germany and Ukraine. The initial production target for ARX Industries is to manufacture several thousand units within the first year.

Recently, ARX Robotics and German manufacturer DEUTZ delivered the first GEREON robotic systems to Ukraine, produced at DEUTZ’s facility in Ulm. These deliveries demonstrate a strong commitment from both companies to support Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid ongoing security challenges.

"ARX Robotics and the Ukrainian defense tech company ROBONEERS have successfully completed the initial integration trials of the SABER combat module developed by ROBONEERS with ARX Robotics' GEREON ground robotic platform," representatives from ARX Robotics stated.

The successful coupling of the SABER module with the GEREON platform represents a key step forward in deepening German-Ukrainian defense technology collaboration.

This partnership is especially crucial for strengthening Ukraine's defense amid the ongoing armed conflict. Integrating cutting-edge robotic technologies and establishing joint manufacturing ventures have the potential to significantly enhance the operational effectiveness of Ukraine’s Armed Forces by equipping them with advanced combat tools. The development of robotic systems like these could become a cornerstone in Ukraine’s national defense strategy.
