Joining the IT Ukraine Association to the Charter

According to Мін. Економіки: The IT Ukraine Association has joined the Charter of Human Capital Resilience, which unites the state and business to strengthen human capital resilience and address labor market challenges. As part of this initiative, the Association will work in the Digital / IT & Tech Committee, focusing on the following issues:

  • the shortage of digital specialists,
  • the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market,
  • the return of Ukrainian IT and Tech specialists from abroad.

The Charter was initiated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Folke Bernadotte Academy. Among the participants of the initiative, Daryna Marchak is also mentioned. This joint activity aims to ensure the adaptation of the labor market to new realities and needs.

Significance of the initiative for the labor market

The joining of the IT Ukraine Association to the Charter of Human Capital Resilience emphasizes the importance of cooperation between the state and business in addressing critical issues arising in the labor market, particularly in the IT sector. This initiative can be a significant step in overcoming the shortage of specialists and facilitating the return of Ukrainian professionals working abroad, which is crucial for the recovery and development of the country's economy.

In light of the ongoing efforts to enhance the labor market, Ukrainian companies can benefit from significant financial support for workforce development. As highlighted in a recent announcement, businesses have until August 31 to access co-funding for employee training, which aligns with the goals of the IT Ukraine Association's new initiative. This funding opportunity could prove vital in addressing the skills gap and attracting talent back to Ukraine's tech sector.
