NAZK prepares for a new audit: what will change after EU recommendations
The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAZK) continues to support the audit of its activities, considering it an effective tool for improving work in the field of combating corruption. According to legislation, NAZK is ready to present a report to auditors and implement the recommendations of the previous audit.
Additionally, Members of Parliament have registered a draft law aimed at improving the procedures for conducting an external evaluation of NAZK's activities. The initiative involves clarifying the criteria and methodology of such evaluation, as well as clearly defining the timeframes for conducting the audit.
“The external audit is necessary to assess the Agency's work and identify opportunities for improvement, but it cannot be used as a means of pressure on the institution.”
NAZK plans to take into account the recommendations of the European Commission and engage the public, international partners and experts in discussing the evaluation criteria of its activities. Openness and transparency in the process are key principles that ensure the adoption of appropriate decisions.
