27-year-old Gabriella Barras visited Santorini in early July, hoping for a picturesque and relaxing vacation. However, the reality was far from her expectations due to the large number of tourists on the island.

A summer trip to Greece is an immersion in culture, enjoyment of sunshine, local delicacies, and wandering through charming streets. However, a vacation on Santorini can be far from idyllic due to the insane crowds of tourists that have overrun the island. This is reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the Mirror.

Gabriella shared her impressions: 'I expected Santorini to be a picturesque and wonderful place where I could feel the Greek culture and enjoy local food. However, the island was overcrowded with tourists, and it was difficult to relax here.'

Another traveler, Claire Smith, also expressed her disappointment with Santorini due to the large number of tourists disrupting her enjoyment of the island.

Both women advise against visiting Santorini during peak season and note that, despite its shortcomings, the island is still unique and worth seeing.
