Ukrainian Women's Football Championship: Format and Start Date of the First League Tournament

According to glavcom.ua: According to plans, the new season of the Ukrainian Women's First League Championship for 2025/2026 will start on September 6. This is reported by 'Glavkom' referring to UAF.

The first league will consist of 16 teams playing the championship in two stages.

Group Stage

The first league will be conducted in a round-robin system in two rounds in groups A and B.

Final Stage

The two best teams from each group will advance to the playoff stage for the championship and prize places. These matches include two games, played both on their home ground and the opponent's ground.

In the event of a tie after the playoff matches, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout.

Each team will play 14 matches in the groups and two more in the final stage to determine the championship winners.

The best teams from first to sixth place will move up and participate in the Ukrainian Women's Premier League next season.

2. Volodymyr Sports Lyceum (Volodymyr, Volyn Region).
3. 'Minai' (Minai, Zakarpattia Region).
4. 'Nadbuzhzhya' (Busk, Lviv Region).
5. 'Prykarpattia-DSSh № 3' (Ivano-Frankivsk).
6. 'Rukh' (Lviv).
7. 'Pohorina' (Kostopol, Rivne Region).
8. 'Yantarochka' (Novoyavorivsk, Lviv Region).

Group B:

1. 'Atex' (Kyiv).
2. 'Zhaivir' (Shpola, Cherkasy Region).
3. Zhytomyr Regional Sports Lyceum (Zhytomyr).
4. 'Leader' (Kobeliaky, Poltava Region).
5. 'Metalist 1925-2' (Kharkiv).
6. 'Mariupol' (Donetsk Region).
7. DSSh 'Podil' (Kyiv).
8. 'Yunost' (Chernihiv).

In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, 'Dynamo' will meet the winner of the pair 'Zhalgiris' (Lithuania) - 'Hamrun Spartans' (Malta). Matches of this stage will take place on July 22/23 and July 29/30.

The first match 'Dynamo' will play away, while the second will be considered home for the Kyiv team.
