According to Главком: In the early hours of Saturday, March 21, 2026, an energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv Oblast was struck in an attack. The assault caused severe damage to the facility, resulting in widespread disruptions to the region's power grid. The majority of Chernihiv Oblast was left without electricity, forcing critical and social infrastructure in the affected communities to switch to alternative power sources. This attack on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure is part of a wider pattern of strikes on its energy network.
