Czech initiative suspends purchase of Flamingo missile: what is the reason
The Czech initiative 'Gift for Putin' decided to delay the purchase of the 'Flamingo' missile for Ukraine due to a corruption scandal and doubts about its effectiveness. Co-founder Dalibor Dedek reported that the collected funds have not yet been transferred to the manufacturer Fire Point, so they are looking for alternative options.
After receiving information about the manufacturer and links to the figure involved in the scandal, the initiative decided to suspend actions. Dedek noted that serious doubts have arisen in the funding department. At this time, activists are considering alternative ways to use the funds.
After successfully raising funds, the company Fire Point decided to provide the Armed Forces not with one, but with two missiles. These missiles will be named Dana 1 and Dana 2 in honor of the scientist in the field of nuclear physics Dana Drabova. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already used 'Flamingo' missiles to strike the FSB base in Crimea.
The initiative continues to seek alternatives and negotiate for the most effective use of the collected funds.
