According to glavcom.ua: A court in Kyiv decided not to punish a pensioner for limiting himself to touching a stranger woman's buttocks in the metro. It should be noted that according to the case's circumstances, the man committed this act while traveling between metro stations.

The pensioner's lawyer, who represented him in the instance, emphasized that the victim could have promptly taken appropriate measures in the carriage before exiting. It was also noted that in such mass transit as the metro, touching by strangers is not uncommon even without bad intentions.

The court concluded that even if the fact of touching the victim's buttocks was proven, it does not constitute sexual harassment, which can be qualified as an offense. - Court's decision.

The court also emphasized that the victim did not immediately report the incident, which complicated the timely response of law enforcement. Such actions are unlikely to be condoned, as there is an opportunity to seek help from metro employees or the police at every metro station.
