'National Cashback' Program

The 'National Cashback' program, launched on March 20, 2026, and running until May 31, 2026, is currently active. It provides a 15% rebate on diesel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on autogas, with maximum savings of up to 11 UAH per liter on diesel, 7 UAH on gasoline, and 2 UAH on autogas. As of May 1, the maximum monthly compensation per user is capped at 500 UAH.

According to experts, Ukraine has entered the top ten countries with the highest rates of diesel price increases, where diesel prices have surged by 33.9%. In March 2026, diesel supply volumes remained at 2025 levels, but from February 26 to March 31, diesel prices according to Platts statistics rose by 86%. Import costs increased by 58%, while prices at gas stations rose by 39%, and average gasoline prices increased by 16%.

Experts point to several factors driving fuel price increases, including:

  • rising demand volumes
  • declining supply and inventory levels
  • higher logistics costs
  • inability to compare storage conditions and volumes of fuel within Ukraine

The rise in fuel prices in Ukraine, especially for diesel, is driven by objective factors such as dependence on imports and reduced supply. Since the majority of petroleum products are imported, global market conditions also influence local prices. Cashback programs may somewhat ease the financial burden on consumers, but the overall upward trend in prices remains. It is important to monitor further market changes, as shifts in imports or domestic production could significantly affect pricing.
