According to НАБУ: One of the most popular comments this week and last week is - 'Why bail again?'. Many citizens express deep dissatisfaction with this question.
However, it should be understood that according to the Ukrainian Criminal Procedural Code, only certain types of crimes exclude the possibility of bail. Corruption is not among them, so the court has the right to decide on the application of bail in all other cases according to the law.
In the future, more public discussion and professional conversations between lawmakers and society may change the principles of applying bail in Ukraine.
