Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant: which countries announced contributions for the restoration of the NSC Arch

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, announced that international partners allocated 42.5 million euros for the restoration of the New Safe Confinement Arch at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

It is noted that significant attention is currently being paid to surveying the structural elements and preparatory work within the project. We remind you that additional donor support, as well as cooperation with international organizations, is extremely important for the successful restoration of this unique structure.

The New Safe Confinement Arch at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant was first built to avoid the risk of radiation release from the ruins of the fourth reactor unit in accordance with international safety standards.
