The State Emergency Service honors the heroes of Chernobyl: how the memorial ceremony took place

According to ДСНС: Every year, on December 14, Ukrainians honor the memory of the liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster. It was then that the State Emergency Service held a ceremony to honor the participants in the aftermath of the accident.

The heads of the Service, veterans of the fire service, and the liquidators themselves honored the memory of the deceased and expressed their sincere gratitude to those who stood guard against atomic danger. Those present honored the memory of the brave liquidators with a moment of silence and laid flowers at the monument.

“The people who came to help in times of great danger deserve our respectful memory and gratitude”

Such ceremonies remind us of the importance of honoring the memory and respect for those who risked their own lives to save others.
