DBR revealed thousands of cases of treason: what sentences have the traitors received
According to hvylya.net: The State Bureau of Investigation is actively identifying individuals who have betrayed Ukraine or cooperate with the enemy during the war.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the bureau has been investigating 2,780 criminal proceedings related to crimes against the national security of the state, including:
1,895 proceedings - for acts of state treason (Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine); 696 proceedings - for collaboration activities (Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine); 46 proceedings - for aiding the aggressor state (Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and others.
As of early October 2025:
- 1,519 individuals have been notified of suspicion;
- 515 individuals have been declared wanted;
- 1,351 individuals are being checked for involvement in state treason and collaborationism;
- 1,301 indictments have been sent to court.
Among the latest outcomes are real prison sentences for defectors who sided with the enemy and the exposure of collaborators who voluntarily cooperated with the occupation administrations.
The State Bureau of Investigation is actively working to identify and convict individuals who violate Ukraine's national security, particularly those who betray the state or cooperate with the enemy. Currently, significant efforts are underway to investigate thousands of cases, and the results have already led to the prosecution of some collaborators and traitors. The urgency of this issue is confirmed by the serious consequences for those who have committed acts that threaten national security.
