Funding via Domestic Government Bonds

According to Мінфін: Ukraine secured 2.02 billion UAH during a recent auction of domestic government bonds (OVDP). One-year bonds denominated in hryvnia offered an annual yield of 15.09%, attracting 1.012 billion UAH, while 2.4-year bonds with a yield of 16.45% brought in 1.010 billion UAH.

Since the start of 2026, the government has raised over 351.37 billion UAH through these instruments, and more than 2.36 trillion UAH since the full-scale war began. Proceeds from war bonds are dedicated exclusively to supporting Ukraine’s Armed Forces and strengthening the country’s financial resilience.

Details on OVDP Auctions

OVDP auctions take place every Tuesday. Each bond has a face value of 1,000 UAH, 1,000 USD, or 1,000 EUR. Investors can find more information at bonds.gov.ua.

Domestic government bonds remain a vital funding mechanism for Ukraine’s public expenditures, especially amid ongoing conflict. This financing approach enables continued military support and helps maintain economic stability, which is crucial under current circumstances. The steady demand from investors for Ukrainian securities also signals confidence that could contribute positively to the nation's economic outlook.
