Identified violations in the education system

The State Service for Quality of Education (SSQE) has uncovered schemes through which men over 25 years old were illegally enrolled in higher educational institutions to obtain deferment from mobilization. The head of the SSQE, Ruslan Hurak, reported on the identified violations that indicate serious deficiencies in the university admission processes.

At one of the capital's universities, 100 motivational letters with identical text were discovered. This indicates a lack of transparency and standard procedures for the admission of applicants over 25 years old. These students did not register with military commissariats, but after being enrolled, they contacted territorial recruitment centers, paid fines, and received legal deferrals from mobilization.

Moreover, educational institutions admitted more students than allowed by their licenses. Many of these students formally received grades, but there was no evidence of their actual participation in the educational process. In Ternopil region, the director of one college even created a separate department for students aged 25+, hiring 20 teachers who also received deferments.

Ruslan Hurak emphasized that all applicants who enrolled without military registration documents were illegally admitted.

The SSQE has officially addressed university rectors demanding the expulsion of such students. The evasion schemes that have been identified include:

  • 100 identical motivational letters;
  • violations of admission procedures in colleges;
  • enrollment without military registration documents;
  • exceeding licensed capacity;
  • simulation of education.

These corrupt violations raise serious questions about compliance with legislation in the field of education.

Consequences and further actions

The identified violations in the education system indicate serious problems that require urgent resolution. The illegal enrollment of students not only jeopardizes the quality of education but also complicates the situation regarding mobilization, as it allows evasion of obligations to the state. The SSQE, demanding the expulsion of such students, is trying to restore order in the higher education system and ensure compliance with the law, which is crucial for the stability of the country in the face of military challenges.
