The head of Riyadh Season, Turki Al Sheikh, stated that a new large-scale boxing evening is already being planned for Oleksandr Usyk in 2027. According to him, the next project may take place in Istanbul near Hagia Sophia after the Ukrainian's fight against Rico Verhoeven. This was reported by Obozrevatel.

Turki Al Sheikh made a new statement about Usyk

During a press conference in Egypt, the Saudi official called the upcoming boxing evening historic and admitted he wants to see a new challenge for Usyk.

«I am already tired of seeing how no one can defeat Usyk», — stated Al Sheikh.

According to him, the Ukrainian has already defeated British champions six times, so now the organizers want to test the limits of his capabilities.

Turki Al Sheikh also mentioned that he is already discussing the upcoming project involving the Ukrainian champion.

«We want to organize something incredible in Istanbul near Hagia Sophia next year», — he stated.
