A new batch of new trams and buses has hit the city's routes in Kyiv. Some of the equipment has already been put into operation, while others are undergoing technical preparation in the depot before going out on the lines. This was reported by the capital's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
Two new trams are already operating on route No. 27, which connects the Darnytsia, Dniprovskyi, and Desnianskyi districts. Two more are undergoing inspection and preparation. All trams are manufactured by the company «TATRA-YUG» under contracts with KP «Kyivpastrans» and purchased with funds from the city budget. By the end of the year, the capital will receive a total of eight modern low-floor wagons.
A second batch of buses has also arrived in the city - another 20 vehicles from the company «Anadolu Isuzu». They are already in operation on routes No. 20, 25, 31, 111, 112, and 114. Overall, under the project «Urban Public Transport of Ukraine», implemented in collaboration with the European Investment Bank, Kyiv will receive 85 such buses, of which 40 have already been delivered.
