Ministry of Defense on leave for combatants: who and under what conditions will additional days be granted

According to Мін. Оборони: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has decided to clarify to all service members who are entitled to additional leave for combatants (UBD) how this process works. Here are the main conditions and the procedure for granting this leave.
So, important details:
- The leave will last 14 calendar days each year (or even 21 days for those who have special merits to the Motherland), with retained salary.
- During the state of war, leave may be granted at the commander's discretion, taking into account necessity and the limitation of absence, which should not exceed 30% of the total number of service members in the unit.
- This leave is cumulative, meaning that in the event of discharge, the service member will be compensated for unused leave days from previous years.
Therefore, it is important to consider these conditions and the procedure for granting additional leave for UBD for service members of the Ministry of Defense, which they have the right to receive.
