Firewood for heating: how much it costs and how to get state aid

The state enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine' has announced the start of supplying firewood for the population before the heating season. Prices for firewood remain at the previous level - from 1000 to 1200 hryvnias per cubic meter.

Now it has become easier for Ukrainians to buy firewood - it is enough to contact the local forestry and submit an application. Payment is made through a QR code with bank details, which saves time on payment operations. The maximum purchase volume is 15 cubic meters.

It was previously announced that a large aid package would be provided to Ukrainians.

Since September, a government program for one-time assistance for the purchase of solid fuel has started. Support is provided to residents of settlements near the border and socially vulnerable groups of the population, including families with many children and others. The amount of assistance is 19,500 hryvnias per family.

Ukrainians received information about prices for firewood and the conditions for their purchase before the heating season. The state support program includes providing assistance to residents of border settlements and supporting socially disadvantaged groups of the population.
