My pride. You are a true warrior. You are an example for our children, for Ukraine, for the whole world. I thank you for your strength, for your love, for being a light even in the darkest moments. I am immensely proud of you. I love you endlessly. Congratulations, my beloved!'
Kateryna and Oleksandr first met at a school desk in Simferopol when Oleksandr was 15 and Kateryna was almost 14. Their friendship gradually grew into a relationship when Usyk gave Kateryna a rose and asked her to date. Eventually, Usyk's actions led to an invitation for a date, which she accepted.
