Ukrainians have switched to cashless: 65% of payments are made by cards
According to hvylya.net: Ukrainians continue to actively reject cash in favor of cashless payments. In the first nine months of 2025, more than two-thirds of transactions with payment cards were cashless, which is quite an impressive statistic. Data from the National Bank of Ukraine indicates that Ukrainians can hardly imagine cash transactions anymore.
At the same time, the popularity of digital payments is rising, and the use of contactless cards and tokenization indicates the continuous development of Ukraine's payment infrastructure and society's readiness to adopt modern technologies.
The National Bank of Ukraine predicts moderate GDP growth for the country in 2025, considering the long-term consequences of the war with Russia. Ukraine's economic recovery is slow but steady, dependent on external funding and internal adaptation to the challenges facing the country.
