The European Commission has drafted legislation to establish a unified EU-wide framework for monitoring the housing sector's conditions. This proposal is expected to be reviewed and approved by EU member states and the European Parliament in the coming months.

Several major cities, including Paris, Barcelona, and Venice, have already imposed their own limits on Airbnb operations, reflecting rising concerns over the impact of short-term rentals on local housing markets. The new EU law aims to standardize regulation across all member countries, allowing for better control of the sector.
