According to hvylya.net: According to Politico, Europe has almost run out of options to increase sanctions pressure on Russia, so the Ukrainian government is focusing on the actions of the United States.
'The most significant consequences for Moscow could arise if secondary sanctions are imposed - against companies or countries cooperating with Russia. However, the real blow will come from the US. US President Donald Trump seems to be holding this option in case peace negotiations fail, threatening to impose sanctions against China.'
It is emphasized that the new EU sanctions do not foresee serious restrictions on the export of energy resources from Russia to Europe but will target companies and vessels operating in the shadows.
Ukraine is counting on support from the US in maintaining sanctions pressure on Russia, as options in Europe are limited. Discussions about the possible imposition of secondary sanctions against Russian companies indicate an escalation of the situation and significant pressure on the Kremlin.
