EIB Approves Recovery Funding for Projects Across Four Ukrainian Regions
Expert Working Group Meeting
According to Міністерство інфраструктури: A meeting of the Expert Working Group for projects under the Ukraine Recovery Program III and other European Investment Bank (EIB) initiatives has taken place. The session resulted in a recommendation to finance a series of projects in four Ukrainian regions. Within the framework of Ukraine Recovery Program III (Tranche B), the implementation of 114 projects is planned. This funding is part of broader international efforts to support Ukraine's resilience and reconstruction.
Deputy Minister Oleksiy Ryabikin chaired the meeting, which recommended funding for the following:
- 5 projects in Kirovohrad Oblast,
- 11 projects in Kyiv Oblast,
- 6 projects in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast,
- 4 projects in Cherkasy Oblast.
The project selection process is ongoing. Previous meetings have already recommended 88 projects from across Ukraine, 76 of which are located in frontline territories.
'Every project addresses specific community needs: quality healthcare, safe education, reliable infrastructure, and essential daily services. It is from such solutions that a sense of stability and confidence in the future is built. All are being implemented using state budget funds secured through a loan from the European Investment Bank. This enables us to support initiatives that have a tangible impact on community development and will serve the people.' - Oleksiy Ryabikin
The proposed projects, focusing on medical, educational, and infrastructure needs, are crucial for improving citizens' quality of life, especially as the country recovers from conflict. The support from the EIB and the focus on initiatives for frontline territories underscore a commitment to ensuring stability and development in Ukraine's most vulnerable regions.
