Europe Leads the 2026 World’s Top 50 Bars List with New Records and Rising Stars

According to УНІАН — Туризм: In 2026, Europe has firmly established itself as the dominant force in the list of the world’s top 50 bars, boasting 18 venues within the top 50 and an additional 18 in positions 51 to 100. The coveted number one spot was retained by Bar Leone from Hong Kong. Italy’s Moebius Milano made a significant leap from seventh place in 2025 to secure second place this year, while Colombia’s Alquímico in Cartagena claimed third.
The announcement ceremony took place on Wednesday in Milan, a city that continues to grow in influence within the global bar scene.
Notably, Paris has overtaken London for the first time by featuring four bars in the top 50, including:
- The Cambridge Public House (13)
- Bar Nouveau (15)
- De Vie (23)
- Danico (26)
London's top-ranking bars include:
- Connaught Bar (8)
- Satan's Whiskers (29)
- Waltz (32)
Meanwhile, Athens also makes a strong showing with three bars in the top 50:
- Line (5)
- The Bar in Front of the Bar (19)
- Barro Negro (40)
Spain is represented by Barcelona’s Sips (16) and Paradiso (17), along with Angelita from Madrid (50). Paradiso was honored with the Rémy Martin Legend of the List award.
Bangkok’s Bar Us climbed to fourth place, while Italy’s Locale Firenze ranked 33rd. The full list of cities represented among the top 50 bars spans 19 locations worldwide, including Hong Kong, Milan, Cartagena, Bangkok, Athens, Mexico City, Seoul, London, Lima, New York, Guangzhou, Paris, Barcelona, Singapore, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Medellín, Florence, Bratislava, Dubai, Tirana, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Madrid.
Europe has emerged as the undisputed leader in bar representation with 18 venues in the top 50 and another 18 listed between 51 and 100, accounting for over one-third of the 100 bars ranked. Italy in particular stands out, with Moebius Milano not only claiming second place globally but also earning the title of Europe’s finest bar.

The Bar in Front of the Bar in Athens received the Nikka Highest Climber Award for making the most significant jump up the rankings, highlighting the rapidly evolving bar culture worldwide.
