Military Developments in Iran Amidst Regional Conflict

According to ХВИЛЯ: During an interview with political analyst Yuriy Romanenko, Maziar Mian detailed the current military situation within the Islamic Republic. He claimed that Iran's naval fleet has been completely destroyed and the country's missile capabilities have suffered severe blows, resulting in a drastic reduction in the number of rocket launches.

The interview, titled 'The Situation Inside Iran During the War. Maziar Mian, Yuriy Romanenko,' is available on YouTube. Mian stated that the initial phase of military operations was aimed at weakening Hezbollah, destroying Hamas, and dismantling proxy networks in the region. Following this, he asserted, the focus shifted to eradicating Iran's military potential, specifically its missile program and naval forces.

“Today, the fleet is completely destroyed; all ships have been sunk, even the one in the Indian Ocean.” – Maziar Mian

He further reported that missile launchers were destroyed first, leading to a sharp decline in the volume of rockets that can be fired. “According to various estimates, missile launches from the territory of the Islamic Republic have decreased by 60-70%. If about 275-300 missiles were fired on the first day, now they are launching about 15. Tomorrow, these launchers will also be taken out,” Mian emphasized. These claims, if accurate, point to a significant shift in Iran's military posture. Analysts note that Iran's military capabilities are a central factor in regional stability and its support for allied groups.

Potential Shift in the Regional Power Balance

The reported military setbacks for Iran suggest potential changes in the regional balance of power, as the destruction of its fleet and missile installations could severely limit the country's military options. This development may also force a recalculation of strategic plans by other actors in the conflict, given Iran's traditional role as a key backer of various armed factions in the Middle East.

The steep decline in rocket launches indicates that Iran may face new challenges in ensuring its security and maintaining its military deterrence in the future.
