Updated Gas Price Offers for February 2026 in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Gas suppliers in Ukraine have announced their updated pricing for February 2026. While monthly tariffs have risen by over 2 hryvnias per cubic meter, annual rates have remained unchanged. This means 98% of households, representing over 12 million families, will see no change in their gas bills. These customers are served by NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, which offers a fixed annual tariff, insulating them from the monthly price fluctuations.

The Structure of the Gas Supply Market

Eight suppliers operate in the market. Half offer only a fixed annual price, while the others provide a choice of monthly tariffs. The range for annual offers spans from 7.96 to 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter. Naftogaz's annual tariff, which is guaranteed to remain in effect at least until April 2026, is set at 7.96 UAH per cubic meter, making it the most competitive fixed-rate option currently available.

Monthly tariffs, in contrast, start at 8.46 UAH and can reach up to 28 hryvnias per cubic meter. Consequently, households on annual contracts will avoid any negative impact from the volatility in the gas market. This pricing dynamic highlights a significant consumer trend towards seeking financial predictability in the energy sector.

The shifts in supplier pricing reflect ongoing fluctuations within Ukraine's energy resource market and their potential effect on consumers. The overwhelming preference for annual tariffs suggests a strong public desire for stability amidst broader economic uncertainty. Meanwhile, the sharp rise in some monthly rates may prompt a minority of families to explore alternative suppliers or payment plans, illustrating the evolving choices within the country's energy landscape.
