According to hvylya.net: Former commander of the U.S. Army in Europe, General Ben Hodges, believes that the West can significantly change the course of the war in Ukraine. He proposed using 300 billion euros of frozen Russian assets to finance the country's defense.

'It is extremely important right now to focus on complicating as much as possible. And if possible, completely blocking the export of Russian oil through the Baltic and Black Seas with the help of so-called shadow fleets. If Ukraine, together with its allies, can stop these flows through legal means or by striking oil refineries and ports, it would be a serious blow to Russia,'

- noted Hodges.

According to him, without income from oil exports, Russia will not be able to maintain its military potential at the current level, as the Russian military economy is artificially supported.

Regarding the internal situation in Russia, Hodges believes that the economic influence of the West is key in changing the actions of the Russian regime. He also expressed confidence that Putin 'still doubts the resolve of the West' and because of this behaves with impunity.

Ben Hodges expressed the opinion that stopping the export of Russian oil could seriously undermine Russia's military efforts in Ukraine. Accordingly, using frozen Russian assets to finance Ukrainian defense is a strategic and effective step in working to change the course of the conflict.
