The Attorney General announced suspicion against the CEO of GP 'Forests of Ukraine'

According to glavcom.ua: Ruslan Kravchenko, the Attorney General, reported on the identification of the general director of 'Forests of Ukraine' in a case of illegal enrichment. According to him, the accusation of suspicion was presented in accordance with the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.

In 2021, the suspect, while being the head of the State Forest Agency, acquired property worth 10.4 million UAH, which exceeds his legal income. One of the property assets is an apartment in Kyiv, valued at over 9 million UAH. Although this property belongs to another person, the suspect actually used it himself.

We remind that the CEO of GP 'Forests of Ukraine' is Yuriy Bolokhovets.

According to the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP), the difference between official income and property is 7.9 million UAH. Given the position of a civil servant of category 'A', the suspect bears special responsibility. The investigation is conducted by the State Bureau of Investigations under the guidance of the Office of the Attorney General.

Kravchenko noted that this case represents only 'an isolated case in a series of criminal proceedings related to GP 'Forests of Ukraine''. He emphasized that the investigation is conducted systematically and continues.
