According to Главком: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has provided an update on the frontline situation for February 1. Over the past day, 150 combat engagements were recorded across the front, with the most intense fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector. Russian forces are heavily employing aircraft, kamikaze drones, and conducting artillery strikes against both civilian settlements and Ukrainian military positions.

During this 24-hour period, Russian forces launched 25 airstrikes and dropped 76 guided aerial bombs. Furthermore, they deployed 2,872 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,452 artillery bombardments targeting Ukrainian towns and defensive lines. The highest number of Russian offensive actions occurred in the Pokrovsk sector, where 31 separate attacks were recorded, with fighting ongoing. This sector has been a focal point of Russian pressure for months, aiming to make incremental territorial gains.

Situation on Other Frontline Sectors

Hostilities remained severe across other parts of the front:

  • On the South-Slobozhanske axis, Russian forces conducted 73 artillery strikes, including two using multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian units repelled 9 assaults in this area.
  • On the Kupiansk axis, 4 enemy attacks were halted.
  • On the Lyman axis, 6 assaults were stopped, and on the Sloviansk axis, 12 attempts to advance were repelled. One engagement remains active on the Sloviansk axis.
  • On the Kramatorsk axis, 1 offensive action was repulsed, while on the Kostiantynivka axis, Russian troops made 10 assault attempts.
  • On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian forces successfully stopped 3 attacks.
  • On the Huliaipole axis, 23 assaults were recorded, with 3 of them still in progress.
  • No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded on the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi axes.

The General Staff states that Ukraine's defense forces are focused on disrupting Russian offensive plans and degrading their combat potential. The full-scale war in Ukraine is now in its 1,439th day.

The frontline situation remains complex, characterized by numerous engagements and relentless enemy shelling. The high intensity of attacks across multiple sectors underscores Russia's continued military activity and its intent to maintain pressure on Ukrainian defenses. In the context of this protracted conflict, the ability of Ukrainian units to effectively execute defensive operations and deplete enemy resources remains critical to the overall war effort.
