According to glavcom.ua: At the beginning of December, power outages are expected in Ukraine for some consumers lasting up to 12 hours. This is due to shelling of energy facilities in the Sumy region by Russia, which has led to emergency situations and the need to ensure balance in the energy system.
The head of the board of "Ukrenergo" Vitaliy Zaychenko explained that the main reason for the outages was unusual circumstances: emergency incidents at power plants and depletion of resources for electricity generation at hydroelectric power stations. This forced dispatchers to make a decision on emergency disconnection to maintain the stability of the energy system.
Limitations on electricity consumption are also planned for December 10 due to damage to energy supply facilities as a result of Russian attacks.
The Ukrainian energy system is facing difficulties due to the conflict in the east of the country, and the authorities are forced to take measures to ensure the safety and stability of electricity supply for the population and industrial enterprises.
