The National Bank predicts fuel price increases: when to expect a rise

The National Bank of Ukraine analyzed the fuel market and made a price forecast until the end of 2025. It anticipates a gradual increase in the cost of gasoline, diesel, and autogas without sharp jumps. The main factors contributing to the stabilization of prices are the postponement of the mandatory addition of bioethanol to gasoline until 2026 and the reduction of volatility in global oil prices. These factors will help avoid significant pressure on fuel prices at Ukrainian gas stations by the end of the current year.However, starting from early 2026, the situation may become complicated due to the planned increase in excise duties on gasoline, diesel fuel, and autogas, which will lead to an accelerated rise in fuel prices. The regulator predicts a noticeable impact of these measures on fuel costs in Ukraine.
