According to hvylya.net: The European Union has opened the possibility of financing dual-use technologies in Ukraine for the first time through the Ukraine Facility program. Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Hvostiar announced this during the Rebuild Ukraine Expo international exhibition in Warsaw.

Previously, dual-use technologies that could be used in both civil and defense sectors were not eligible for European funding, but this ban has now been lifted. The decision opens access to a financial resource of over €140 million through the Ukraine Investment Framework.

Ukrainian manufacturers of drones, navigation systems, communication systems, aerospace technologies, and precision metallurgy will be able to receive funding for development. The Deputy Minister emphasized that this will allow companies to scale up faster and create products that will enhance the resilience of Ukraine and Europe.

During her speech at the session 'Investments in Resilience and Defense,' Hanna Hvostiar stressed that the Ukrainian dual-use industry is developing rapidly. Last year alone, more than three thousand enterprises produced dual-use products worth €5.5 billion, which is just a part of the sector's potential.
