DBR revealed schemes for transporting men abroad: over 1 million UAH lost
According to hvylya.net: The State Bureau of Investigations uncovered over 1 million UAH in illegal benefits from schemes for transporting conscript-age men across the border. DBR Director Oleksiy Sukhachov reported the filing of 171 indictments against 251 individuals involved in such schemes. However, he emphasized that combating illegal transportation of conscript-age individuals across the state border is a priority for the agency.
'Law enforcement officers, local officials, temporary detention workers, and special forces are often involved in such illegal schemes,' Sukhachov noted.
During the investigations, property of the participants was seized, totaling over 58 million UAH. The DBR Director highlighted that these are large-scale organized schemes that undermine the country's defense capability.
'Making money from war by helping men evade mobilization or illegally leave Ukrainian territory is absolutely unacceptable. This is a direct blow to the state and to those defending it on the front lines. Everyone who organizes or facilitates such schemes must understand: punishment will be inevitable,' Sukhachov emphasized.
The DBR actively cooperates with other law enforcement agencies to counter illegal transportation of individuals across the border. Illegal transportation of conscripts remains a serious problem for Ukraine, as it undermines mobilization capabilities and creates corruption risks.
