Kherson is left without heating: why the city was not allocated funds for boilers

According to ХВИЛЯ: Oleg Popenko, head of the Consumers' Union of Communal Services, expressed concern about the lack of boilers in Kherson ahead of the heating season. In his opinion, the situation is unacceptable, especially considering that Mykolaiv was allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias for boilers. Kherson, with a population of about 40 thousand, is left without a single boiler and has also suffered damage to the CHPP.

Poppenko emphasized that the current situation is outrageous, as Kherson has only one power line.

“Why was Mykolaiv allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias for boilers, while Kherson has not installed a single boiler and has no plans to do so?”

This question becomes even more pressing against the backdrop of the head of the Kherson regional military administration's appeal to volunteers for heaters.

“You have the entire regional budget in your hands - and you will appeal to volunteers to bring heaters? What heaters? What volunteers?”

– adds Popenko. The situation in Kherson requires urgent resolution, as the approach of cold weather makes the issue of heating extremely relevant for the city's residents.

Consequences of lack of heating

The absence of heating in Kherson can have serious consequences for residents, especially in winter conditions when temperatures can drop significantly. It is important for the relevant authorities to take urgent measures to provide the population with the necessary resources, as the cold can worsen people's health and increase social tension in the region.

Discussions about funding issues and ensuring energy efficiency in Kherson remain relevant as the city needs urgent solutions to overcome this crisis.
