Northern Israel Targeted in Rocket Assault

According to Главком: Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, fired a massive barrage of approximately 100 rockets into northern Israel from multiple launch sites within Lebanon. The attack triggered air raid sirens in the cities of Haifa and Galilee, as well as across the Golan Heights. This escalation comes amid heightened regional tensions and a long-standing, volatile standoff between Hezbollah and Israeli forces along the border.

The rocket fire resulted in several casualties. Two people sustained minor injuries: a 35-year-old woman and a man around 50 years old, both of whom were transported to a hospital. One of the victims was wounded when a rocket struck a house in the town of Bi'ina. Additionally, four other individuals received on-site treatment for acute stress reactions.

Regional Tensions Intensify

Separately, on March 11, a strike targeted oil storage facilities at the port of Salalah in Oman, though no damage to commercial vessels was reported. In the early hours of March 11, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain reported intercepting waves of Iranian missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia stated it destroyed six ballistic missiles aimed at the Prince Sultan Air Base and neutralized drones in its eastern provinces, preventing a strike on the Shaybah oil field.

These incidents underscore a dangerous spike in regional hostilities, raising serious concerns for civilian safety. The escalating cross-border exchanges between Lebanon and Israel, coupled with increased military activity by Iran and its allies, threaten to spark a broader armed conflict. Such developments require careful monitoring by international bodies, as they risk destabilizing the entire Middle East region.
