According to glavcom.ua: One of the foreign volunteers named Douglas Kartner joined the military actions after accidentally hearing the song Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes on Spotify. This event set him on a military path, where he found himself in a country at war with the Russians.
Another story tells of a Brit named Christopher Perrimen, who decided to join the fight after learning about the Russian second invasion into Ukraine. After serving in other countries, he became an active participant in the Ukrainian clashes, but unfortunately, he perished on Snake Island during an artillery shelling.
