Putin is merely a symptom. The disease is the myth of imperial greatness and the 'Third Rome',' the historian underscored. He added that the threat will persist until the average Russian understands that true greatness lies not in the size of captured territory or the number of nuclear missiles, but in the quality of one's own life, in freedom, and in respect for neighbors' borders.
