Isolation of Russia in the World: The US is Working on a Solution

In the United States of America, there is an active discussion regarding the status of the Russian Federation, which is committing aggression against Ukraine.

A very powerful project is needed that would allow for the isolation of Russia from the civilized world. This was stated by Ukraine's ambassador to the US, Oksana Markarova, at a conference for Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv, as reported by 'Radio Svoboda'.

'There is a very active discussion because there is a current status that has already been legally established in the US, which is 'state sponsor of terrorism', but this status is quite outdated. It currently includes four countries, and we would certainly like to see Russia among these countries because it deserves to be in the company of such outcasts. However, it is not a sponsor of terrorism; it is a terrorist state itself,' said Markarova.

Therefore, the US, according to her, is considering an alternative bill that proposes to assign Russia a new status as an aggressor state, committing terror against the civilian population.

'There is another alternative bill regarding Russia as an aggressor state that commits terror against the civilian population. We hope that in these discussions we will come up with the strongest possible project that will allow us to correctly name and isolate Russia from the civilized world,' said the ambassador.

Currently, there are four countries on the list that the US State Department considers sponsors of international terrorism: North Korea, Syria, Iran, and Cuba.

The American publication The Hill reported that a bill is being developed in the US Congress to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of aggression.

This week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Congress. Representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties called Zelensky's speech inspiring and timely.

Ukraine has the support of both the Democratic and Republican parties, said US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
