Israel Delivers Emergency Power Systems to Ukraine

According to Главком: On February 25, 2026, the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine and the MASHAV agency handed over more than 100 backup power systems to the Kyiv Regional State Administration. This equipment is intended for social institutions in the Kyiv region, specifically hospitals and schools. The handover ceremony was attended by the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnik, and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Israeli Embassy, Mila Tsur. This delivery is part of ongoing international efforts to bolster Ukraine's resilience against infrastructure attacks.

This act of support comes amid broader discussions of humanitarian aid for the Kyiv region. On February 24, 2026, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar held a phone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, where aid matters were discussed. That same day, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution titled 'Support for a Sustainable Peace in Ukraine,' initiated by Ukraine as part of the 11th Emergency Special Session. The resolution was supported by 107 countries, including the State of Israel.

The Critical Need for Reliable Electricity

Mila Tsur, Deputy Head of Mission of the Israeli Embassy, emphasized: 'Hospitals must operate without interruption. Schools and shelters must remain safe. Families must be able to stay connected. Electricity is the foundation that allows communities to endure and recover.'

The provision of backup power systems from Israel represents a significant step in supporting Ukraine, as the country's infrastructure faces severe strain due to the ongoing conflict. Assisting critical social institutions like hospitals and schools not only ensures their continued operation but also enhances the safety and security of the civilian population. This event further underscores the sustained international backing for Ukraine, including from Israel, within the broader context of humanitarian cooperation and diplomatic engagement.
